Grand Rabbi Mayer A. Horowitz, the Bostoner Rebbe of Yerushalayim, shlit"a, was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1946. In 1963, he went to Eretz Yisroel to learn in Ponovitch Yeshiva, Bnei Brak,where he was subsequently ordained and continued his learning in Lakewood Yeshiva, New Jersey from until 1969. In 1970, he founded, Yeshiva Machzkei Torah, serving as Dean of the college for the next nine years. Later that year he assisted his father, The Bostoner Rebbe zt"l, establish Kollel Boston in Jerusalem, Israel, and is today its spiritual leader.
